Mysore classes offer students of all levels, from beginners to more advanced students, the most transformative and safest way to learn and practice Ashtanga Yoga.

In Mysore classes, students are taught individually within a group setting. They receive a level of one-on-one guidance, hands-on adjustments and personal attention that cannot be offered in a conventionally led class. This is possible because beginners are introduced to the Ashtanga sequence little by little, easily memorizing the section of the sequence they have been taught, while more seasoned students are already familiar with the sequence. Therefore, the students’ need to be led becomes unnecessary and the teacher can move about the room and work with each student individually. The teacher advances students through the Ashtanga sequence pose-by-pose based on each student’s individual abilities. As a result, students learn and practice at their own pace.

Mysore classes enable students to focus on the sound and rhythm of their breath rather than on the voice of the teacher. Practice, therefore, becomes a personal meditation-in-motion that, while physically powerful, produces a deep inner focus.

Again, this class is suitable for students of all levels. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Beginners and more seasoned students will receive all the instruction they need and will find themselves breaking through old physical, mental and emotional barriers.

Mysore classes are scheduled in blocks of time. Weekdays, doors open at 6:15am and instruction begins at 6:30 am. On Sundays, doors open at 8:45 am and instruction begins at 9 am. New students should arrive before 9:30 am on weekdays and at 9 am on Sundays. New students can expect to practice for 45-60 minutes for their first few classes.

On the first Sunday of each month, we teach a Led Primary Series class with Sanskrit counting followed by a discussion. The Sunday led class is not for beginners. Some Ashtanga Yoga experience is necessary. Please ask us if you are unsure whether to attend.

We sell Monthly Passes for $185.  Full-time students can buy a Student Pass for $140.  We also sell a 12 Class Pass for $155. These passes expire after 30 days.  New students who live in the GTA have the option to take their first week of classes for $35 if they are not ready to make a month commitment. Students with an established Ashtanga Yoga practice can drop-in for $22. We accept cash and cheques only as payment.
